#15 The Scarlett Letter Part 2

I think that the husband is a very forgiving man. Roger probably shows sympathy for his ex-wife because she has been embarrassed and emotionally tortured. I think that they still love each other because the way the author explains her reactions when he touches her is that she wants to be with him. Roger isn't upset with her and i think that all he wants to do is kill the lover. Hester knows that, which is why she isn't telling Roger who he is.  Roger is upset because he was held captive and know his wife has a child and he knows that it isn't is. I would be upset too because it was wrong of Hester to cheat on him like that. I know that he wasn't around for a year, but she should have waited a little longer.
