#12 New York Times Part 2

Footloose

Guess what Hollywood is bringing to town? Its a little know classic called Footloose. It was first a Kevin Bacon move that was about a town that banned dancing. Due to a horrific accident when teens (who were under the influence of drugs) died by driving off a bridge on their way into town. That accident left the parents stunned and panicked. They immediately blamed it on the music and they banned dancing. Ren, the main character, moves into town after living in the big city. After learning about the law he tries to bring dancing back into the town, but he has a problem. He needs to face Rev. Shaw and the who town council. The person that is playing Ren has no emotion. He is just dancing and dosen't get into it.

After doing footloose last year you would guess that I would be excited for this movie to come out, but on the contrary I am not. I don't like footloose and never will, but i respect it. I respect how popular it was in the 80's and understand how some people are excited. If the lead guy has no emotion then it is probably going to be a boring movie. If you can tell how bad he is the audience will be focused on him the actual person rather than him the character. I'm going to end seeing this movie anyway so i might as well enjoy it.
